Dedicated to the composer's mother, the work uses texts by William Blake, George Peele, Emily Dickinson, and Alfred, Lord Tennyson to trace the cycle of the seasons and human mortality. Together with works by Henk Badings, Dale Trumbore, Johannes Brahms, Lili Boulanger, and Eric Whitacre, the program weaves a tapestry of reflection and longing — inviting audiences to sit with the mysteries of endings and beginnings, and to find in music the quiet promise of peace across generations.
